“Tra Terra e Stelle” — 3rd Edition
An itinerant theatre festival

“Tra Terra e Stelle” (“Between Earth and Stars”) is the itinerant theatre festival that,
with its Artists and ‘fireflies’, will take you on a cheerful, poetic ‘earthly dream’,
among the stars and the ancient villages immersed in the Nature of our land.
Site-specific and itinerant performances are a unique experience: the stories, bodies,
and voices of the Artists, moving among stone streets, ancient springs, church
squares, and gravel paths, bring to the stage a Theatre that is true, alive, and
engaging.
“Tra Terra e Stelle” 2026: a programme of no fewer than 16 shows in 15
municipalities between Pisa and Lucca — from Volterra to the towns of the
Garfagnana, from Riparbella to Chianni — symbolically representing the chain of
municipalities that have joined this special touring theatre festival of the Territory.
The programme is rich with shows for all audiences, with free admission, featuring
theatre companies from across Italy who will stage a Theatre of poetry, comedy, civic
engagement, biting irony, and above all the sparkling enthusiasm that will
accompany the audience on a fantastic journey into the imagination… to share
questions and dreams, to feel good, together!
An important space is dedicated to training for children, young people, and adults:
intensive Theatre and Photography Workshops and Labs, designed as spaces to learn
while having fun.
“Tra Terra e Stelle” is also about local culture and culinary traditions! Before the
shows, you can visit the “Visual Installations” and have the chance to access
Museums opened especially for the occasion, as well as special initiatives curated by
local Associations, who will also delight you with delicious dinners and aperitivo-
dinners in open-air spaces, to enjoy the summer cool.
